Forgotten Items and Lunches

We have noticed an increase in students who have forgotten their lunches or class projects at home. In these cases, parents will occasionally drop off the items in our front office and request our office staff deliver items to children, to call the classroom to send the child down to pick up their item, or deliver the items themselves. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate these requests. Please keep the following in mind:

  • We attempt to deliver items to classrooms when dropped off prior to first lunch.
  • Students who forget their lunch at home can obtain a free lunch from our cafeteria.
  • Students who forget their project at home and explain the situation to their teacher and turn the project in the following day.
  • Please instruct your child to check-in at the office during passing periods in the event they forgot their lunch or project at home.

Thank you for your support.

Collecting LCFF Data Now Via Parent Portal

Each year the district is responsible for collecting information from our students’ families to

support the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) process. This year, the California Department of Education is allowing districts to collect information now and it will be applied to the 2022 – 23 school year. We believe that starting now will reduce the burden of collecting information during the busy time of opening school in the fall.

In the Parent Portal, we ask parents and families to complete a very short questionnaire that increases the district’s opportunity to receive funds from the state. The information is only collected for this process and will not be used for any other purpose. We ask that you complete this task as soon as possible,

Paper survey forms will be available later this spring. By completing the survey, you will not only be supporting the district’s efforts, but increasing the chances of your child’s school receiving more of this valuable funding. Click this link to view an informational letter.
