Character Education

This month our character education is focused on empowerment and making smart choices. Being empowered is a frame of mind that helps children feel more confident in themselves and their abilities. We encouraged Dana students to be empowered to choose positivity rather than focus on negative things. They ultimately decide how to see themselves and their lives. Please help empower your children to take control of their own lives by making choices that better their situations and align with who they want to be in this world.  Making choices can also help your child understand cause and effect. The good choices they make create positive consequences whereas poor choices have negative consequences. As they are getting older it is important to discuss this with your child as more important/mature choices are being made by them each year. We will be having an assembly on this topic on October 23rd as well as hosting activities at lunch October 24th - 27th in support of Red Ribbon Week.

For more information on this assembly please go to this website: https://rockyherron.com/.  For more school news, ASB information and SEL examples from Dana students click this link to watch the monthly Mariner Broadcast.
