Dana Family,

On January 18, 2022 the San Diego Unified School District Nursing and Wellness Office announced a change to district policy regarding communication of COVID related information to parents. Effective immediately, Principals are instructed to distribute the following generic letters to all parents:

Families with multiple children enrolled in SDUSD will receive duplicate letters from each school site. Site leadership requested the centralization of these letters for the purpose of reducing confusion on behalf of parents. Unfortunately the San Diego County Department of Public Health recommends parents receive each letter multiple times.

The purpose of this email is to inform you of the rationale behind the change to district policy. We will continue to keep parents informed regarding changes to district health and safety guidelines. This includes any changes to the content of the generic letters referenced above or when the policy of repeatedly redistributing the same letter is modified by the SDUSD Nursing and Wellness Department. You have received multiple copies of this letter in the past and will continue to do so until further notice. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.

Parents requesting additional copies of the generic letters referenced can visit our website at

Thank you for your cooperation.
